Lucidity is the first album of Delain. It was realized as a project or a star-band (musical project which forms a band, with various famous guest musicians, for instance: Ayreon, Star One, Avantasia…). But despite of the variety of the guests, Lucidity already asserts the personality of Delain as a band. Whereas a line-up peculiar to the band is set up, the album is first released in the Benelux and then distributed in Europe, in March 2007.
Lucidity is very well received, both on its natal soil and abroad, and the success happens quickly. Then, Delain starts to give concerts as a band in Holland, and also tours with Within Temptation for a few gigs, as a support act. They will give their first French show in April 2007 at the Zenith of Lille (along with SUP, In Extremo and Within Temptation). They received an extremely warm welcome, far beyond anything they had hoped for.
Lucidity contains interesting and previously unheard duets like the ones of Sharon den Adel and Marco Hietala, or Marco Hietala and Live Kristine, or also Live Kristine and Charlotte!
